Gallery - Giác Viên Pagoda
The Giác Viên Pagoda is a Zen Buddhist temple which was founded in 1805 and is located in Saigon District 11. Unlike the nearby Giác Lâm Pagoda, which is older and larger, and with which it has a close association [see Tim Doling, 2014, Exploring Hồ Chí Minh City, Thế Giới Publishers], the Giác Viên Pagoda has a general air of neglect, informality and homeliness about it.
