Nong Khai Governor's Residence

A mansion built in the French colonial style which was at that time popular in the French colony of Lao (Vientiane, the capital of Lao, is just upstream of Nong Khai, on the opposite bank of the Mekong River).  The building served as the residence of the Governor of Nong Khai Province from 1929 until 2007.  At the time of our visit (February 2013) the building was open to the public.
